HOW TO DRESS UP A SWEATSHIRT

Krys modeling her sweatshirt style while crossing a street.

In case you haven’t noticed I’m definitely a jeans and sweater (or t-shirt) kind of girl. The greatest thing to happen in fashion (for me) is that it's totally cool to wear sweatshirts in a "dressier" way.  To turn your sweatshirt into a night out look, just add heels! I do this all the time for going out whenever it’s appropriate. This Balmain sweater is great because it's not heavy, it’s a great weight for Spring through Fall weather. The silver foil adds a nice pop and it’s also available with gold foil, if you prefer.

I  paired my sweatshirt with ripped jeans and white heels. I also like to style my sweatshirts with leather pants, a skirt, or even shorts. For my fellow moms out there, this sweatshirt in particular should not be worn around children under 4 as it needs to be dry cleaned. If your kids are anything like mine, every dirty hand is coming right for your clothes so the dry cleaning bill would be insane! But I love the look of a crisp white top so I just put this on when I’m headed out the door to avoid any mishaps lol.

As long as the weather stays on the cooler side in NYC, I’ll be rocking sweaters only! If you are following me on instagram and are looking for more Spring inspiration I have highlighted some of my favorite dresses on my instastories for you, so check those out!

Are you dressing up your sweatshirts or d0 you think they are for lounging and the gym only? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Sincerely,

Your Friendly Neighborhood Stylist
