MAKING A STATEMENT WITH EARRINGS

IMG-0020.JPG

This Thanksgiving my husband and I took the girls to Point Pleasant, New Jersey to spend some time with my in-laws and my mom. We made dinner reservations at this great place in town called Blend on Main in Manasquan. This is the second year in a row we’ve gone there and the Thanksgiving feast never disappoints!
I love dressing up for the Holidays and somehow dressing up to go out to dinner seems more rewarding than dressing up to sit in someone’s house (although I do that too!  LOL). My favorite accessories to wear when going out are statement earrings. I love that they can make any outfit look 10x more glamorous with just this simple addition. The best thing about statement earrings is that they look good with any hair length or style. I personally love the way they stand out when I wear my hair down, just adding hints of shimmer when they are peeking through locks of hair. You can also create an elegant look by pulling your hair back in a low ponytail or bun.

I advise my clients that if they are going to wear large statement earrings they should be worn alone. I personally think that large earrings with a bib necklace is too much going on right around your face. I would do either a delicate necklace or no necklace at all when wearing statement earrings.

Here is a round up of my three favorites (some oldies but goodies and some new).  Below are some old favorites from Jennifer Miller jewelry. These are the concentric teardrop earrings and they are clip-on which are great even if you do have pierced ears because they are a little on the heavy side and the clip-on won’t pull down on your earlobe.

This glittery pair from H&M are perfect for the holidays and can be worn two ways because the post comes out and can be pulled off to wear as studs as well.

Last but not least, these Bauble Bar pair are my new favorites. Besides the fact that these are so pretty, I love that Bauble Bar makes great quality jewelry and the prices won’t break the bank!
